Nude Music ; [ME] new single and video...
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, and currently residing on a canal boat in Camden, England, [Me] are an eccentric and extraordinary talent in the making.
Straight off the back of debut single ‘Like A Fox’, 7th November marks the release of new track ‘Naked’, a 4-minute epic that neatly fuses [Me]’s spectacular blend of symphonic pop and opus spaced, stadia filling rock sounds. Another limp wristed indie band this is not, as proven by their all-out-war live show which has been suitably impressing crowds in London, Paris and Hamburg this summer. [Me] will soon be exposing themselves a whole lot more when they escape the studio and take to the road in November for their first ever UK tour.
‘Naked’ is the first taste of the album sessions, currently being recorded with Simon ‘Barny’ Barnicott (Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, The Temper Trap), and has come a long way since being written on a free iPhone app by [Me] lead singer and band technophobe Luke Ferris.
The song is matched in scale and ambition by its accompanying, stop-animation music video, an apocalyptic world created by band collaborator and friend Andrew Goldsmith. Watch at meband.com.
Naked is out 7th November. Expect the full on album assault in March 2012.
